Boomer Women Today
Boomer Women Today
If you were born between the years 1946 and 1964 this website is for you. There are some 76 million baby boomers and a good portion of us are women. Arguably, no other group or generation will have as much impact on the country or the economy.
Everyone is familiar with the phrase “baby boomers” but who exactly are we? Are we really so different from those who came before us and from the generation that follows us? Our parents or grandparents lived through the Great Depression and/or World War II. Having sacrificed so much they were determined that our lives would be easier and filled with greater opportunities. We grew up taking those concepts for granted and came to expect more from life than our parents ever dreamed of.
Baby boomers do not accept the status quo. For us, change is the basic nature of things. We do not accept the stereotype of growing old, or retirement, or poor health in one’s so-called “golden years”.
This is a website developed by a boomer woman for other women in the boomer generation. Its purpose is to provide what is lacking on the web - serious information for the issues that concern us and the many roles we are called upon to fill.
So visit often and add you comments and concerns to the discussion. This boomer wants to know which subjects you want to cover and what “experts” you’d like to hear from.
Life is a challenge, so let’s meet it head on!
Welcome to boomerwomentoday.com!
